Mi tributo personal a Vercingetórix (72 adC? - 46 adC), jefe de la tribu gala de los arvernos que luchó con gran valor contra el Imperio Romano. A pesar de que perdió, su lucha es, todavía hoy, un ejemplo heroico de la virtud y resolución de los galos de aquel entonces. Tanto es así, que incluso Julio César tuvo que reconocerle como su más digno adversario.
La historia la escriben los vencedores, pero la memoria de los grandes héroes siempre permanece.
My personnal tribute to Vercingetorix (72 BC? - 46 BC), chieftain of the gaelic tribe of arverni, who fought with great courage against the Roman Empire. Despite he lost, still today, his fight is an example of the virtue and resolution of the gauls at that time. So much, that even Julius Caesar has to recognize him as his worthiest opponent.
History is written by the winners, but the memory of the great heroes always remains.
La historia la escriben los vencedores, pero la memoria de los grandes héroes siempre permanece.
